Lateefat started Stile in 2014 the way most good things start as a favour. Friends would send her a screenshot of a Zara dress they'd fallen for, and she'd find it, confirm the sizing and get it to their door in Lagos. Word travelled the way it does among women who dress well.
Most requests still arrive as a WhatsApp message or an Instagram DM. From there she works through her network of retail contacts and travelling sourcers to track down what's actually in stock: the slip dress everyone saw on their feed, the quilted clutch that sold out in an afternoon, the leather knot slides she is quietly known for.
